Union Minister Anurag Thakur Honours Special Invitees to 75th Republic Day Parade

New Delhi: Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, extended heartfelt felicitations to over 450 special invitees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who attended the 75th Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path. The distinguished guests, hailing from various corners of the nation, were acknowledged for their commendable contributions to nation-building across diverse domains.

The special invitees, a remarkable assembly that included Padma Awardees, have played pivotal roles in areas such as environmental conservation, preservation of traditional art forms and culture, and uplifting the underprivileged sections of society, among other significant contributions.

Minister Thakur expressed admiration for the invitees, highlighting that some of them had never had the opportunity to visit Delhi before, yet today, they were honored as special guests by the Prime Minister. Thakur emphasized that these individuals, previously mentioned in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat, symbolize a distinctive thought process embedded in the government’s approach.

During the felicitation ceremony, Minister Thakur emphasized that the guests’ work and contributions have become their identity, and their motivation stems from a commitment to propel India forward, rather than seeking awards. He expressed optimism that this recognition would serve as an inspiration for these individuals to enhance their contributions further in their respective fields.

Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister, echoed Thakur’s sentiments, underscoring the Prime Minister’s acknowledgment of the common people’s contributions to India’s development. The recognition bestowed upon these contributors to nation-building aligns with the government’s ethos of appreciating and celebrating the unsung heroes whose efforts shape the destiny of the nation.
