Dhanbad: In a significant move to bolster safety standards in India’s mining sector, Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, visited the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) headquarters in Dhanbad, Jharkhand on Friday. The visit was aimed at reviewing the functioning of DGMS and reinforcing the government’s commitment to safeguarding the welfare of miners across the country.

Dr. Mandaviya was accompanied by Deepika Kachhal, Joint Secretary, and other senior officials from the Ministry of Labour and Employment. A high-level review meeting was convened at the DGMS headquarters, where top officials, including Ujjwal Tah, Director General of DGMS, were present.
