Union Home Minister Amit Shah Unveils and Lays Foundation Stones for Development Projects in Daman & Diu

Silvassa: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 53 diverse projects amounting to approximately Rs 2448 crore during the Labharthi Sammelan in Silvassa, Daman & Diu. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Praful Patel, Administrator of Daman and Diu, and the Union Home Secretary.

Commencing his address, Amit Shah paid homage to the late Veer Savarkar on his death anniversary, hailing him as a stalwart who dedicated his life to India’s liberation. Shah emphasized that extraordinary personalities like Veer Savarkar emerge once in a millennium.

Highlighting the developmental initiatives, the Union Home Minister disclosed the inauguration of 10 projects in Daman worth Rs 191 crore, 10 projects valued at Rs 340 crore in Diu, and 33 projects costing Rs 1916 crore in Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Shah acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s extensive efforts over the past decade, transforming the region with an array of development projects.

Addressing the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Amit Shah assured the public that Modi’s leadership guarantees the completion of tasks at a 100 percent rate. He credited Prime Minister Modi for delivering essential amenities to millions of Dalits, tribals, and economically disadvantaged citizens.

Shah underscored the fulfillment of promises made by the Modi government, such as the construction of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir, and the eradication of Naxalism, terrorism, and extremism. He emphasized Modi’s commitment to the welfare of Indian women, with accomplishments ranging from the abolition of triple talaq to providing 33 percent reservation for women in Parliament and State Legislative Assemblies.

As the nation approaches elections, Amit Shah presented two alternatives to the public – the leadership of Narendra Modi, characterized by patriotism, or an alliance of seven dynastic parties. He urged the citizens to choose between the rule of Modi, who elevated India to the fifth-largest economy globally, and those associated with scams amounting to Rs 12 lakh crore.

The Union Home Minister envisioned the next decade as India’s era under Modi’s leadership, propelling the nation to become a $5 trillion economy and the third-largest global economy by 2027. He shared Modi’s ambitious targets, including achieving $2 trillion in exports by 2030, hosting the Olympic Games in 2036, and sending an Indian to the Moon with the tricolor by 2040.
