UGC Unveils Guidelines to Strengthen University-Industry Linkages for Innovation and Economic Growth

New Delhi: In a significant move to align with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has released comprehensive guidelines titled “Sustainable and Vibrant University-Industry Linkage System for Indian Universities.” These guidelines are strategically crafted to enhance collaboration between academia and industry, fostering a dynamic ecosystem for research, innovation, and knowledge transfer. The NEP-2020 emphasizes the critical role of robust connections between universities and industries to drive innovation, employability, and economic growth. With this initiative, the UGC aims to empower higher education institutions to play a pivotal role in the nation’s progress by creating a skilled and adaptable workforce.
