Toshali National Craft Mela records a business of Rs 16Cr

Bhubaneswar: Sales at 16th Toshali National Craft Mela- 2022 held at Janata Maidan crossed Rs 16 crore. The 14 days exhibition organised by Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department concluded on Sunday.

Artisans, weavers and sculptors from across the country participated in this crafts mela to exhibit their handicraft and handloom products.

This year, there were around 390 handlooms and handicrafts stalls. While 150 stalls were by weavers, artisans from different parts of the country, similarly 150 artisans and weavers were from Odisha.

Last year, the fair witnessed a footfall of around 14 lakh visitors incurring a business of at least Rs 12.38 crore.

Officials said that artisans from 24 states participated in the mela which witnessed footfall of more than 19 lakh visitors.
