Tokyo Paralympics: Odia para-shuttler enters semifinal with convincing win

Odia para-shuttler Pramod Bhagat reaches semi-final in Tokyo Paralympics after beating Ukraine’s Oleksandr Chyrkov in straight sets of 21-12, 21-9 in the men’s Badminton SL-3 singles group match on Thursday.

Top seed Bhagat’s convincing win against Chyrkov comes a day after he beat compatriot Manoj Sarkar, ranked-3, in the first group match on Wednesday.

The ace badminton player is one win away from entering into the gold medal race.
