Tokyo Olympics: Golfer Aditi Ashok finishes fourth, narrowly misses out on a historic medal

Indian golfer Aditi Ashok, who has a world ranking of 200, ended her inspiring Olympic campaign by narrowly missing out on a podium finish at Tokyo Olympics 2020. The 23-year-old, despite remaining among the top three till fourth round, narrowly missed out on a medal in the last round as she finished fourth in the women’s individual stroke play event.

USA’s Nelly Korda wins gold while M. Inami of Japan and L. Ko from New Zealand bag silver and bronze respectively in this event.

For India, Neeraj Chopra plays the final of javelin throw competition keeping a medal hope alive for the country while wrestler Bajrang Punia will go for a bronze medal finish today.
