Super Six Stage Begins in ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup 2024

Bloemfontein: The ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup 2024 has reached a crucial juncture as it enters the Super Six phase on 30 January. Following the completion of the group stage on 28 January, 12 teams are now vying for supremacy in this prestigious tournament.

The Super Six stage involves the top three teams from each of the four round-robin groups. India, Bangladesh, Ireland, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Nepal have progressed from Groups A and D, while South Africa, England, West Indies, Australia, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe move forward from Groups B and C.

Crucially, each team carries forward the points and Net Run Rate (NRR) earned against fellow Super Six qualifying teams.

The teams will play two matches in the Super Six stage against opponents from the corresponding group who finished in a different position in their group. For instance, India (toppers of Group A) will face off against New Zealand (second position in Group D), and Nepal (third position in Group D).

The top two sides from the two Super Six groups will advance to the semi-final stage, scheduled for 6 and 8 February. The final showdown is set for 11 February, with all three knockout games taking place in Benoni.
