Subhadra Yojana Funds Delayed Amid Ongoing Beneficiary Verification

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has put on hold the disbursement of the fourth phase of the first installment under the Subhadra Yojana, initially scheduled for December 25. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced the delay on Monday, attributing it to the ongoing beneficiary verification process.

Speaking to the media, Deputy Chief Minister Parida emphasized the importance of ensuring accuracy in beneficiary identification. “The release of the funds has been delayed due to the verification process still being underway,” she said.

The Subhadra Yojana aims to provide financial assistance to eligible beneficiaries across the state. However, discrepancies such as land-related issues and mismatches in bank and Aadhaar details have led to temporary exclusions from the list.

Deputy Chief Minister Parida urged citizens facing issues to utilize the Subhadra Grievance Portal to report concerns and submit updated details. Field verification efforts are being carried out by Revenue Inspectors (RIs) and Anganwadi workers, who are visiting villages to address discrepancies and ensure accurate beneficiary data.

“To expedite the process, beneficiaries with rejected applications can submit a letter explaining their rejection details to the block office or the Subhadra inquiry team. The government is committed to resolving these issues at the earliest,” Parida assured.

While the delay has caused some inconvenience, the Deputy Chief Minister reiterated that the state government is prioritizing the integrity of the verification process to ensure that the funds reach the deserving beneficiaries without errors.
