
Bhubaneswar: The State-Level Kala Utsav 2025 was inaugurated on Wednesday at Government Girls’ High School, Unit-6, Bhubaneswar, celebrating the artistic brilliance of students from across Odisha. The event was inaugurated by Ananya Das, State Project Director, OSEPA, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
In her address, Das lauded the creativity and talent of participating students and said that Odisha has always held a distinguished place in the world of art and culture. She highlighted that platforms like Kala Utsav provide students with opportunities to express their inner creativity, imagination, and cultural depth. Expressing confidence in their talent, she hoped the participants’ state-level performances would bring laurels to Odisha at the national stage.
Renowned film actress Meghna Mishra, interacted warmly with the students and underscored the importance of art in shaping one’s outlook on life. She encouraged them to think creatively, stay aware, and channel their emotions into meaningful artistic expression.
The inaugural session also featured addresses by senior officials of OSEPA. Sangita Behera, Additional Director, OSEPA, delivered the welcome address, while Sujatabala Das, Headmistress of the host school, motivated students to participate with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Dr. Santosh Kumar Raut, Joint Director, OSEPA, extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all dignitaries and participants.
This year’s Kala Utsav has brought together 140 students from six zones across Odisha, who will compete and perform in various art forms over the next two days at Government Girls’ High School, Unit-6, Bhubaneswar.
