
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha state government has appointed senior IAS officer Saswata Mishra as the Principal Secretary of the Finance Department. This announcement was made through a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievances Department.
The notification stated that Mishra, who is an IAS officer from the 1996 batch, will continue to hold additional responsibilities. He will remain the Principal Secretary of the Energy Department and Chairman of the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC). The official notification read: “Saswata Mishra, IAS (IRR-1996), Principal Secretary to Governor, Odisha with additional charge of Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department, Principal Secretary to Government, Energy Department and Chairman, OSSSC is appointed as Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary to Government, Energy Department and Chairman, OSSSC.”
In another key administrative change, D.D.S. Rajput, a 1999 batch IAS officer, has returned from central deputation and has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Governor of Odisha.
