Star Air to Launch Direct Bhubaneswar–Jharsuguda Flights from August 16

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to witness improved regional air connectivity as Star Air prepares to launch direct flights between Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda starting August 16, 2025.

The new route marks Star Air’s foray into intra-state operations in Odisha, aiming to cater to the growing demand for efficient, affordable regional travel. Flight bookings are now live on Star Air’s official portal as well as major travel booking platforms.

Announcing the launch, Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial Officer of Star Air, said, “We are delighted to begin operations from Bhubaneswar, strengthening our presence in eastern India. The Jharsuguda–Bhubaneswar route will play a key role in enhancing connectivity within the state and making air travel more accessible to the people of Odisha.”

The airline will deploy its Embraer E175 aircraft for the service, which offers both economy and business class seating in a comfortable 2×2 configuration. In-flight amenities will include hot meals and beverages, maintaining Star Air’s standard of passenger service.

The launch is expected to significantly reduce travel time between western Odisha and the state capital, offering convenience to business travelers, government officials, and tourists alike.
