Spot Admission Opens at World Skill Center for Advanced Courses in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Aspiring individuals seeking to enhance their skills and pursue advanced career opportunities are in for a treat as the World Skill Center in Bhubaneswar gears up to commence spot admissions for various advanced and industry-ready courses for the academic session 2024-25. The admission process is scheduled to commence from March 27 and will continue until April 6. Interested candidates are advised to bring along the necessary documents as per the notification issued by the World Skill Center.

The spot admission is being opened for 5 courses under the School of Engineering and 2 courses under the School of Services. The admission process will operate from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering the youth of Odisha a golden opportunity to upskill themselves in their chosen field of interest.

Under the School of Engineering, the 5 advanced courses include Vertical Transportation (Lift Technology), Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Mechanical & Electrical Services, Mechatronics, and Electrical Technology. Candidates interested in these courses must have completed their 2-year ITI or 3-year Diploma. Upon completion of the 1-year advanced course, students will have the opportunity to participate in multiple placement drives organized by national and international companies.

Similarly, under the School of Services, the 2 advanced courses offered are Beauty Wellness & Spa and Hair Fashion & Design. Candidates interested in these courses must have completed their +2/Diploma. Upon completion of the 1-year advanced course, students will be presented with national and international career opportunities.

Candidates are required to bring essential original and photocopies of documents such as passport-size photographs, Matric Certificate, ITI/Diploma/+2 Certificate, Caste Certificate (for SC/ST & OBC students), Aadhaar Card, and Original CLC of Institution last studied.

The World Skill Center provides facilities of global standards, including industry 4.0 curriculum, ultramodern labs, international exposure, life skills training, sports & wellness amenities, and global placement opportunities. This initiative operates under the ‘Finishing School’ model, providing practical training and necessary life skills to prepare Odisha’s youth to work at various industry platforms nationally and internationally.

This advanced skill training institute is an initiative of the Government of Odisha, aiming to upskill the youth of the state. The Government provides facilities such as free hostel & uniform, transportation & food, and free course fees for SC, ST, OBC, SEBC, EBC, minorities, and female students.
