Sonu Sood’s Offices Raided in Mumbai and Lucknow

The Income Tax Department raided the offices of Bollywood Actor Sonu Sood in Mumbai and Lucknow today. 

As per reports the survey operation has been initiated on allegations of tax evasion on a deal between his company and a Lucknow-based real estate firm.

This is not the first time Sonu Sood has been raided. In 2012 also his house was raided along with other Bollywood personalities over alleged tax evasion.

The 48-year-old actor who turned messiah for thousands of distressed people during the early phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. He arranged buses, trains and flights for migrant workers stuck in various places across the country during the first wave of the pandemic in 2020. Similarly, during the second wave he arranged oxygen cylinders for COVID patients.
