Sonu Nigam Enchants Audience at Ekamra Utsav’s Musical Extravaganza

Bhubaneswar: The Ekamra Utsav, a cultural spectacle orchestrated by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), reached new heights of musical brilliance during its sixth evening at the Sangitara Murchana. The star-studded event featured a captivating performance by Bollywood’s renowned singer, Sonu Nigam, leaving attendees with an indelible musical experience.

The venue was a sea of eager spectators, both seated and standing, all eager to witness the magical live performance by Sonu Nigam. The Bollywood maestro treated the audience to an enthralling showcase, rendering more than 50 Odia songs that resonated with the cultural essence of the region. The repertoire included favorites such as “Chaal Begi Begi Jiba Sajani,” “Gundicha Dakuchi Aa,” “Mridang Bajilare,” “Puchuki Gali,” and “Gori Jhumuru Jhumuru Tor Pada Paunji,” seamlessly blending with his iconic Hindi melodies.

The distinguished presence of North MLA Sushant Raut, Twin City Commissioner Sanjiv Panda, and BDA Vice Chairman Balwant Singh added to the grandeur of the evening as esteemed guests.

Setting the stage for Sonu Nigam’s mesmerizing performance, Odia vocalists Sashank Shekhar and Sanchita Priyadharthini kickstarted the festivities with their melodious renditions, creating an enchanting ambiance that lingered throughout the night.

Sonu Nigam, known for his versatile and soul-stirring voice, masterfully connected with the audience, creating a musical journey that transcended language barriers.
