
Bhubaneswar: Good news for the differently abled persons of the city as finally they can have a park especially designed for them.
Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) has constructed Sensory Park at Saheed Nagar which will be open to the public soon.
One of its kind, the park spreads over an area of 037 acres and includes play equipments, open gym, pathways, child friendly components. All the arrangements have been specially designed as per the Universal Access guidelines, following safety measures and among others.
The park has been created with an aim to provide a child friendly and accessible park in the city. Sandpit and rubber flooring has been done at the park to avoid the chances of any injuries to children if they fall while playing.
Some of the other features and components include a reflexology pathway, braille and musical walls, drums and musical poles, bucket and wheel-chair, ball pool.
