Schools in Odisha to Reopen on June 17 After Summer Vacation

Bhubaneswar: Schools across Odisha are set to reopen on June 17 following the summer vacation. The School and Mass Education Department has issued a notification to all schools, instructing them to prepare for the reopening.

The notification outlines several key directives to ensure a smooth transition back to school. It mandates that all classrooms and toilets be thoroughly cleaned before reopening. Additionally, schools are required to secure drinking water supplies and mid-day meal items in advance. Teachers and assistants have been directed to report to their duties prior to the reopening date.

This year’s summer vacation began earlier than scheduled on April 25 due to severe heatwave conditions across the state.
