Satish Chandra Samal appointed Private Secretary of Odisha CM

Bhubaneswar: In a significant administrative reshuffle, several senior officers in Odisha have been reassigned to new positions, marking a strategic move to enhance the efficiency and functioning of various departments in the state.

Satish Chandra Samal, a senior private secretary from the Home Department cadre, has been appointed as the Additional Private Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Majhi. This move is expected to strengthen the administrative support to the Chief Minister’s office.

In another notable appointment, Binod Bihari Singh, a senior Odisha Secretariat Service (OSS) officer, has been deployed in the office of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. Singh brings with him valuable experience from his previous role as an Under Secretary in the Planning & Convergence Department of the Government of Odisha.

Sanjay Kumar Bariganjan, who previously served as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Home Department and is currently OSD to the Member State Planning Board, Odisha, has been posted as OSD to the Deputy Chief Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment and Energy. This shift is expected to bolster the strategic planning and implementation in these critical sectors.

Prakash Kumar Mohanty, the Principal Private Secretary of the Home Department, has been appointed as the Additional Private Secretary to the Minister of Law, Works & Excise. His experience is anticipated to aid in the effective administration of these key portfolios.

Nityananda Sahoo has been assigned as the Additional Private Secretary to the Minister of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, reflecting a focus on enhancing rural governance and infrastructure.

Raj Raj Samantaray has been named the Additional Private Secretary to the Minister of Forest, Environment & Climate Changes, Labour & ESI. His role will be crucial in addressing the pressing environmental and labor issues in the state.

Sarada Kumar Rath has taken on the role of OSD to the Minister of Commerce and Transport, Steel & Mines, a position vital for the economic development and industrial growth of Odisha.

Mahendra Kumar Sahoo has also been appointed as Additional Private Secretary to the Minister of Forest, Environment & Climate Changes, Labour & ESI, further strengthening the administrative team in these important sectors.

Laxmidhar Hota has been designated as the Additional Private Secretary to the Minister of Law, Works & Excise, ensuring continued support and efficient management of the ministerial duties.
