Saora language to be included in 8th schedule of the Constitution of India

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik recommended a proposal for the inclusion of Saora language in the 8th schedule of the Constitution of India.

The inclusion of Saora language will help preserve, promote and propagate Saora language and culture. Activities like publication, creation of contents and recognition will get momentum due to the inclusion of Saora language in the 8th schedule of the Constitution.

It will also help to create an ecosystem to facilitate research and studies anchored around preservation, promotion and propagation of Saora language.

Over 5 lakh indigenous people will be benefitted with this decision.
