“Sanskruti Charcha” Ceremony Highlights Youth’s Role in Odisha’s Development

Bhubaneswar: The “Sanskruti Charcha” ceremony on “Skill Development and the Role of Youth in the Development of Odisha” was held today at the Odisha State Archives. Organized by the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture Department, the event brought together key figures from the cultural and administrative sectors to discuss the crucial role youth play in the state’s future growth.

Bishnupada Sethi, Principal Secretary of the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture Department, served as the chief guest. In his address, Sethi underscored the significance of the monthly cultural discussions hosted by the State Archives. He highlighted how social media outreach is expanding the reach of these events, playing a pivotal role in promoting the rich heritage of Odia language, literature, art, and culture.

“Youth are the agents of change, capable of guiding society in new directions. They are the hope of our state and the foundation of a transformative society,” Sethi remarked. “Skill development among the youth will open employment opportunities, fostering economic growth in both Odisha and the nation. I encourage our youth to empower themselves and actively contribute to the state’s development.”

The event also featured Sambit Tripathy, a former Indian Revenue Service Officer, as the chief speaker. He emphasized the creativity and enthusiasm that youth bring to the table. “The youth should have confidence in their abilities. It’s essential for everyone to be inspired to contribute to the country’s economic development by starting their own ventures. Odisha, known globally for its natural resources, handloom, handicrafts, literature, and Jagannath culture, has immense potential. I am hopeful that our youth, through their skills, talent, and competence, will bring pride to both the state and the country. We must all believe that we are capable of building our own ‘Konark’.”

The ceremony opened with an introductory address by Bijay Ketan Upadhyay, Director of the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture Department. Many Odia literature and culture enthusiasts, alongside senior officials from the Culture Department, attended the event, underscoring the importance of youth engagement in shaping Odisha’s future.
