
Bhubaneswar: The 28th Board of Directors meeting of Rourkela Smart City Ltd. was convened today, chaired by Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg. The meeting was attended by Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development Department; Manoj Satyawan Mahajan, Collector and District Magistrate of Sundargarh; and Ashutosh Kulkarni, CEO of Rourkela Smart City Ltd.
The Board evaluated the progress of ongoing projects, discussed operational challenges, and explored strategies for maintenance and revenue generation. A detailed review highlighted advancements in key projects, emphasizing a commitment to urban transformation.
The Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) project was a focal point of discussion, with the Board directing M/s BEL to expedite work to ensure timely completion. Positive progress was noted for the ‘rOURkela One’ initiative, particularly in the construction of the City Command Center (CCC) building and the Tribal Museum building.
Discussions extended to the Tribal Museum’s development, with attention to soft components such as content curation, Tribal Huts, artifacts, and shrine crafts. Updates on other major projects, including the Big Recreation Park and Vedvyas Heritage Development, were also reviewed.
