Republic Day 2024: Beneficiaries of Rashtriya Gokul Mission Invited to Witness Parade

New Delhi:  In a gesture to honor the contributions of beneficiaries under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, a division of the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, has extended a warm invitation to 250 beneficiaries and their spouses to witness the Republic Day Parade 2024 at Kartavya Path, New Delhi.

These esteemed guests will be granted a special vantage point from “enclosure Number 20” to observe the grand Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2024. As part of the experience, on January 25, the invitees will also have the opportunity to visit various designated historic places in New Delhi.

Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Shri Parshottam Rupala, will actively participate in an interactive session with the Special Invitees on January 26, 2024, at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi. Joining him on the occasion will be Minister of States for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, and Dr. L. Murugan. Additionally, Secretary (AHD) and other senior officials of the department will be present to make the event more engaging and informative.

The beneficiaries, arriving from various states across the country, received a warm reception upon their arrival in New Delhi. Special arrangements have been made to ensure their comfort and enjoyment during this significant national celebration.

This initiative has been made possible through the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, which has extended invitations to distinguished beneficiaries of various government schemes, initiatives, contests, and events, along with their spouses. These invitees have been honored as special guests of the Government, attending the Republic Day Parade 2024.

The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying initiated the Rashtriya Gokul Mission in December 2014, exclusively focusing on the development and conservation of indigenous bovine breeds in a scientific and holistic manner. The mission plays a vital role in enhancing milk production, improving the productivity of bovines, meeting the growing demand for milk, and making dairying more remunerative for rural farmers across the country.
