Renowned Educationist and Philanthropist Satnam Singh Sandhu Nominated for Rajya Sabha Membership

New Delhi: In a significant development, Satnam Singh Sandhu, a prominent educationist and philanthropist, has been nominated for membership in the Rajya Sabha. Hailing from an agricultural background, Sandhu’s journey from the son of a farmer to a leading figure in the education sector showcases resilience and dedication.

Satnam Singh Sandhu’s personal struggles with education fueled his commitment to creating world-class educational institutions. In 2001, he laid the foundation of the Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) at Landran in Mohali. Taking a giant leap forward, he established Chandigarh University in 2012, which earned a prestigious place in the QS World Rankings 2023, ranking first among private universities in Asia.

Sandhu’s vision goes beyond academic excellence; he is actively involved in philanthropy and has extended financial support to thousands of students, enabling them to pursue quality education.
