Reliance Launches ‘Teerth Yatri Seva’ to Support Pilgrims at Maha Kumbh 2025

Prayagraj: As millions of devotees gather at the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati for Maha Kumbh 2025, Reliance Industries Limited has stepped forward with a dedicated initiative—‘Teerth Yatri Seva’—to provide essential services for pilgrims, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.

The initiative, guided by Reliance’s ‘We Care’ philosophy, offers a range of support, including food distribution, healthcare, transportation, and connectivity solutions, making the spiritual journey more accessible and seamless for all.

“It is said that when we serve Teerth Yatris, we too are blessed. Our services to the pilgrims who are on a spiritual journey, in a once-in-a-millennium event, aim to meet the needs of the most vulnerable among them,” said Anant Ambani, Director, Reliance Industries Limited. “At the Maha Kumbh, the world’s largest religious and cultural congregation, it is our opportunity to serve, to enable health, welfare, and safety of lakhs of pilgrims, and to make their journey safer, smoother, and easier.”

Comprehensive Services for Pilgrims

Reliance’s ‘Teerth Yatri Seva’ encompasses several key initiatives aimed at making the Kumbh experience more convenient for devotees:

  • Free Meal Distribution: Under the ‘Anna Seva’ program, hot and nutritious meals are being served daily to thousands of pilgrims at various akharas.
  • 24×7 Healthcare Support: Medical services, including OPDs, dental care, and separate wards for men and women, have been set up. Free sanitary napkins are also being distributed to women pilgrims.
  • Assistance for Elderly and Differently-Abled: Electric vehicles and golf carts are available for transportation within the Kumbh Mela grounds, with dedicated transport arrangements to the Sangam.
  • Safety Measures on the Holy Rivers: Reliance, in collaboration with the district administration, is providing life jackets and reinforcing safety measures for boats and the Jal Police.
  • Rest Zones for Pilgrims: ‘Campa Ashrams’ have been established to provide resting areas for devotees.
  • Improved Navigation: Directional boards and clear signage have been installed across the Mela grounds.
  • Enhanced Digital Connectivity: Jio has boosted network coverage with 4G and 5G towers, new optical fiber installations, and transportable towers for uninterrupted communication.
  • Support for Security Personnel: Water supply, barricades, and watchtowers have been provided to assist police officials managing the massive congregation.

Reliance is working closely with spiritual organizations like Sharada Peeth Math Trust Dwarka, Shri Shankaracharya Utsav Sevalaya Foundation, Niranjani Akhara, Prabhu Premi Sangh Charitable Trust, and Parmarth Niketan Ashram to maximize the reach and impact of these services.

As Maha Kumbh 2025 unfolds, Reliance’s ‘Teerth Yatri Seva’ remains committed to ensuring that every pilgrim’s journey is safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling, making this once-in-a-lifetime experience truly memorable.
