Reliance Jio Emerges as Top Telecom Choice in Odisha, Adds Over 1.4 Lakh Subscribers in December 2023

Bhubaneswar: Continuing its excellent march as the most preferred and No. 1 digital service provider in the state, Reliance Jio added the highest number of mobile subscribers in Odisha, in the month of December 2023, as per the latest telecom subscriber data released by TRAI. Jio added over 1.4 lakh new mobile subscribers in December, whereas its nearest competitor Airtel added just 2522 mobile subscribers in the month, revealed the data released by TRAI. Both VI and BSNL lost thousands of mobile subscribers in the month, it added.

With this, the total number of mobile subscribers on Jio network in Odisha reached over 1.48 crores, as on December 31, 2023. Overall telecom subscriber base in Odisha increased by over 1.15 lakhs in December, taking the total number of mobile subscribers in the state to 3.32 crores. Further consolidating its leadership in Odisha telecom market, Jio has been consistently adding new subscribers in Odisha and added over 9 lakh new mobile subscribers in the 12 months of 2023.

Nationally, Jio also marched ahead with addition of over 39.94 lakh subscribers in October, taking the total mobile subscriber base on Jio Network to over 45.98 crores, further consolidating its position as the No. 1 digital service provider in the country.

It is worth mentioning that Reliance Jio has been the most preferred digital service provider in Odisha with the highest 44.6% subscriber market share and the highest 52% revenue market share in the industry.
