Reliance Foundation’s Kahani Kala Khushi Returns to Inspire Thousands of Children Across India

Mumbai: Reliance Foundation’s much-loved Kahani Kala Khushi initiative is back, spreading joy and inspiration among children from disadvantaged communities. Launched on Children’s Day, this year’s program aims to engage around 22,000 children across schools and Anganwadi centres through storytelling, art, and games over the next few weeks.

The initiative began with a vibrant event at a government school in Mumbai, where over 400 Reliance employees volunteered, engaging 3,800 children in storytelling sessions, creative art activities, and indoor and outdoor games. In Maharashtra and Telangana, the program also kicked off in 63 Anganwadis, targeting pre-school-aged children. Between November 14 and 16, it is set to reach 18,000 children in over 1,100 Anganwadis, creating memorable learning experiences.

Kahani Kala Khushi focuses on fostering communication skills, building confidence, and enhancing cognitive functioning in children. It reflects Reliance Foundation’s commitment to empowering youth and children, with a vision of nurturing aspirations and shaping a stronger and more prosperous nation.

Employee volunteers from various Reliance businesses, along with community representatives and partner organizations, are central to the initiative. Their efforts ensure meaningful engagement with children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Reliance Foundation has a longstanding tradition of celebrating Children’s Day with outreach programs that spread happiness. This year’s intensive effort combines storytelling with creative arts to inspire children. Last year, the initiative reached over 17,000 children in 25 cities, and this year, it has scaled up to touch even more lives.

Speaking about the program, a representative from Reliance Foundation said, “Through Kahani Kala Khushi, we aim to open up avenues of imagination and creativity for children while fostering skills that will help them grow and thrive.”
