Rashtrapati Bhavan’s Amrit Udyan to Open for Public during Udyan Utsav-1, 2024

New Delhi: The enchanting Amrit Udyan of Rashtrapati Bhavan is set to open its gates to the public, offering a captivating experience during Udyan Utsav-1, 2024. From February 2 to March 31, 2024, visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore the lush beauty of the Amrit Udyan, excluding Mondays reserved for maintenance.

The Amrit Udyan will also have special days dedicated to specific categories of visitors, enhancing inclusivity and accessibility:

February 22: Differently-abled persons
February 23: Personnel of defence, paramilitary, and police forces
March 1: Women and tribal women’s Self Help Groups (SHGs)
March 5: Children of orphanages
Visitors can plan their visits during six hourly slots between 10:00 hrs and 16:00 hrs. The forenoon slots (10:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs) will accommodate 7,500 visitors on weekdays and 10,000 visitors on weekends. The afternoon slots (12:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs) will host 5,000 visitors on weekdays and 7,500 visitors on weekends. Booking is available on Rashtrapati Bhavan’s official website.

For walk-in visitors, registration can be done at facilitation counters or the Self Service Kiosk near Gate No. 12 of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

All visitors must use Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, conveniently located where North Avenue meets Rashtrapati Bhavan, for entry and exit. A shuttle bus service from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35 will operate every 30 minutes between 9:30 am to 5:00 pm for visitor convenience.

The mesmerizing tour through the Amrit Udyan will take visitors through the Bonsai Garden, Musical Fountain, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden. At the exit, food courts will be available to enhance the overall experience.

Visitors are allowed to carry mobile phones, electronic keys, purse/handbags, water bottles, and milk bottles for infants. Adequate provisions for drinking water, toilets, and first aid/medical facilities will be strategically placed along the public route, ensuring a safe and enjoyable visit for all.
