Rashtrapati Bhavan to Auction Gift Items Through New Online Portal

New Delhi: Rashtrapati Bhavan is set to auction a selection of gift items presented to the President and former Presidents through a new online portal, E-Upahaar. The portal was officially launched by President of India, Droupadi Murmu, on July 25, 2024, marking the completion of two years of her presidency.

In the inaugural phase of this initiative, approximately 250 exquisite gifts will be made available for auction. Bidding will open from August 5 to August 26, 2024, with items being delivered to the highest bidders following the conclusion of the auction.

To participate in the auction, interested individuals can visit the E-Upahaar portal at https://upahaar.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in/. The process involves:

  • Entering profile details
  • Undergoing Aadhar verification
  • Placing bids on selected items
  • Regularly checking the status of bids
  • Aiming to be the highest bidder
  • Completing payment through online modes

This initiative aims to foster greater citizen engagement and support a noble cause. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to aid children in need.

The gift items up for auction will also be displayed at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, where the public can view them. Visitors can book tickets to the Museum through https://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in/ and explore the exhibits from Tuesday to Sunday, between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
