Raj Bhavan Hosts Grand Celebrations for Arunachal Pradesh & Mizoram Foundation Day

Bhubaneswar: The Foundation Day celebrations of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram were marked with grandeur at Raj Bhavan’s New Abhishek Hall, where Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati highlighted the rich traditions, art, and cultural heritage of the North-East. Addressing the gathering, the Governor emphasized the role of such celebrations in strengthening Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, fostering national unity through cultural exchange.

Extending his greetings, Dr. Kambhampati praised the leadership of the Hon’ble President and Prime Minister in promoting unity and diversity across the nation. Reflecting on his tenure as the Governor of Mizoram, he expressed admiration for the scenic beauty, disciplined society, and vibrant traditions of the state. “Mizoram’s hills and cultural heritage have left a lasting impression on me,” he said.

He also lauded Arunachal Pradesh as the Land of the Rising Sun, appreciating its breathtaking landscapes and rich tribal traditions. “Both states symbolize the essence of the Astalakshmi, where nature and culture thrive in harmony,” he remarked.

Acknowledging the contributions of the people of Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh, the Governor commended students and professionals who have made Odisha their second home. “Your presence here truly embodies the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, where every state contributes to our collective national strength,” he added.

The celebrations featured a warm welcome address by Principal Secretary to the Governor, NBS Rajput, followed by a video showcase on Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. Mizoram Governor General (Dr.) Vijaya Kumar Singh shared a special video message, while vibrant cultural performances, including traditional dances, enthralled the audience. Natives of both states shared their experiences in Odisha, highlighting the growing cultural ties.

Reaffirming Raj Bhavan’s commitment to national unity, Dr. Kambhampati encouraged everyone to continue strengthening these cultural bonds. “On this special day, let’s celebrate our shared heritage and work towards a brighter, more united future,” he concluded.
