
Bhubaneswar: Professor Anand Pradhan has been appointed as the Regional Director of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) at Dhenkanal in Odisha. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued an official order confirming his transfer with immediate effect.
According to the order, Prof Anand Pradhan will assume charge from Prof Mrinal Chatterjee, who is set to proceed on sabbatical leave starting July 1, 2024. He is expected to submit his joining report to the Director-General of IIMC no later than June 21, 2024.
In addition to his new role as the Regional Director, Prof Pradhan will continue serving as the Head of the Department of Media and Communication Governance. He has also been tasked with developing the syllabus for the MA Programme in Media and Communication Governance, slated for launch from the academic session 2025-26.
