
Bhubaneswar: To assess the effectiveness of round-the-clock cleanliness measures in the state capital, Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department, Government of Odisha, carried out a late-night inspection of sanitation activities at multiple locations across Bhubaneswar.
She was accompanied by Chanchal Rana, Commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), Deputy Commissioner (Sanitation) N. Ganesh Babu, and other senior officials.
During the visit, Padhee reviewed both commercial and mechanical sweeping operations being undertaken in different parts of the city. She closely monitored on-ground sanitation processes and interacted with sanitation workers deployed during night hours to understand operational challenges and efficiency.
Appreciating the dedication of the sanitation workforce and BMC officials, the Principal Secretary commended their continuous efforts to keep the city clean. She also lauded the effective deployment of mechanised cleaning systems and underscored the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness through 24×7 sanitation services.
