Prime Minister’s Two-Day Visit to Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh: Will Inaugurate Major Development Projects

New Delhi Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh on February 22nd and 23rd, 2024, during which he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a slew of developmental projects.

On the first day, Prime Minister Modi will participate in the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad. The event is expected to draw over 1.25 lakh farmers, showcasing the success of Amul as one of the world’s strongest dairy brands.

The Prime Minister will perform pooja and darshan at the Valinath Mahadev Temple in Mahesana. At 1 PM, a public function in Tarabh, Mahesana, will witness the dedication to the nation and the laying of foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 13,500 crore, spanning road, rail, energy, health, internet connectivity, urban development, water supply, tourism, and tribal development.

Later in the day, PM Modi will reach Navsari to dedicate to the nation and initiate multiple projects worth over Rs 47,000 crore, covering Vadodara Mumbai Expressway packages, road projects, rural drinking water supply, and the initiation of construction for the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park.

The day will conclude with a visit to the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station at 6:15 PM, where the Prime Minister will dedicate two new Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs) with a cumulative capacity of 1400 MW.

On the second day on February 23rd, Prime Minister Modi will participate in a program for the prize distribution to the winners of Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita at Swatantra Sabhagar, BHU, Varanasi, starting the day’s engagements.

Following this, at 11:15 AM, the Prime Minister will perform pooja and darshan at Sant Guru Ravidas Janmasthali, with subsequent attendance at a public function commemorating the 647th birth anniversary of Sant Guru Ravidas at 11:30 AM.

At 1:45 PM, a public function will see the Prime Minister inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth Rs 13,000 crore in Varanasi, covering road connectivity, industrial development, urban development, tourism, health, and sports infrastructure.

The day will conclude with a prize distribution ceremony at Swatantrata Sabhagar, Banaras Hindu University, where the Prime Minister will award winners of various competitions and distribute resources to Sanskrit students of Varanasi.

Prime Minister Modi’s visit is expected to catalyze significant advancements across key sectors in both states, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
