Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Distribute Over 1 Lakh Appointment Letters Tomorrow

New Delhi:  In a significant move aimed at empowering the youth and boosting employment opportunities, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to distribute more than 1 lakh appointment letters to newly inducted recruits on February 12, 2024. The distribution will take place through a video conferencing event, reflecting the government’s commitment to creating avenues for meaningful employment.

The Prime Minister will also mark the occasion by laying the foundation stone of Phase I of the Integrated Complex named “Karmayogi Bhavan” in New Delhi. This complex is designed to foster collaboration and synergy among various pillars of Mission Karmayogi, an initiative aimed at transforming the way civil servants are trained and perform their duties.

The appointments will be distributed as part of a Rozgar Mela, organized at 47 locations across the country. The recruitment drive encompasses Central Government Departments as well as State Governments and Union Territories supporting this initiative. The new recruits will be joining various Ministries/Departments, including but not limited to the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Higher Education, Department of Atomic Energy, Ministry of Defence, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and Ministry of Railways, occupying various positions.

The Rozgar Mela aligns with the Prime Minister’s commitment to prioritizing employment generation in the country. The initiative is expected to not only provide substantial job opportunities but also contribute to the empowerment of youth and their active participation in national development.

In addition to the appointment letters, the newly inducted recruits will have the opportunity to enhance their skills through Karmayogi Prarambh. This online module, available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, offers more than 880 e-learning courses in a flexible ‘anywhere, any device’ learning format. This training initiative is a step towards equipping the workforce with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their respective roles.

The distribution of appointment letters and the foundation stone laying ceremony for Karmayogi Bhavan mark crucial steps in the government’s ongoing efforts to create a skilled and empowered workforce, fostering national development and growth.
