Prime Minister Modi Holds Phone Talks with Russian President Putin, Discusses Bilateral Ties and Global Issues

New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi engaged in a telephonic discussion today with the President of the Russian Federation, H.E. Mr. Vladimir Putin. The conversation centered around assessing progress on various aspects of bilateral cooperation following recent high-level interactions between the two nations.

The leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive developments in bilateral relations and mutually decided to craft a roadmap for future initiatives. The aim is to fortify the longstanding India-Russia Special & Privileged Strategic Partnership through strategic planning and collaboration.

In addition to deliberating on bilateral matters, both Prime Minister Modi and President Putin exchanged thoughts on regional and global issues of shared interest. The conversation served as a platform for aligning their perspectives and exploring potential areas of collaboration on the international stage.

Prime Minister Modi extended his best wishes to Russia for its upcoming Presidency of BRICS in 2024 and affirmed India’s unwavering support for the success of the initiative.
