Prime Minister Modi Encourages NCC Cadets, Highlights Nari Shakti at Annual Rally

New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the annual NCC PM rally at the Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi, celebrating the spirit of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). The event witnessed a cultural program, the presentation of Best Cadet Awards, and the flagging in of the Mega Cyclothon by NCC Girls and Nari Shakti Vandan Run (NSRV) from Jhansi to Delhi.

In his address, the Prime Minister, reminiscing about his own days as an NCC cadet, emphasized the idea of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” highlighting the presence of cadets from diverse parts of the country. He commended the growing influence of NCC, indicating that the rally marked a new beginning. More than 400 sarpanches from border areas and over 100 women from self-help groups across the country were also acknowledged.

Prime Minister Modi noted the rally’s role in fostering a sense of global unity, pointing out the increase in the number of participating countries from 10 in 2014 to 24 today. He dedicated the historic 75th Republic Day to Nari Shakti, praising the accomplishments of Indian women in various fields.

Recognizing the awarded cadets, the Prime Minister acknowledged the Cycle groups from Vadodara and Kashi, expressing his connection as the Member of Parliament from both places. He recounted the evolution of women’s roles in society, commending the participants in the Republic Day parade and highlighting the relentless efforts over the last decade that led to increased women’s participation in various sectors.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering women, citing examples such as opening frontline positions in the defense forces, permanent commission for women in defense, and allowing women in command roles and combat positions. He mentioned the inclusion of girl students in Sainik Schools and the significant increase in women’s participation in Central Armed Forces and state police forces.

Shifting focus to societal changes, the Prime Minister noted the increasing participation of women in banking, insurance, startups, and self-help groups. He stressed that a talent pool augmented by women’s participation is contributing to the creation of a Viksit Bharat.

Addressing the youth directly, Prime Minister Modi outlined his vision for the upcoming 25 years, declaring it as a transformative era for the development of a prosperous India. He highlighted the significant efforts made in skill development, employment, and entrepreneurship over the past decade, emphasizing the importance of the youth’s continuous hard work.

The Prime Minister spoke about advancements in education, such as the National Education Policy, the Smart School Campaign under PM SHRI, and the growth of colleges, universities, and institutions related to professional education. He celebrated the improvement in global rankings of Indian universities and the increase in medical colleges, IITs, and AIIMS.

Highlighting economic empowerment initiatives like “Make in India” and “Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” Prime Minister Modi spoke about new employment opportunities for the youth. He praised India’s digital economy as a source of strength for the youth, acknowledging the country’s position as the third-largest startup ecosystem globally.

Expressing confidence in the youth’s ability to shape India’s future, Prime Minister Modi urged active participation in nation-building efforts. He encouraged them to register with “MY Bharat Organization” and contribute ideas for the country’s development, stating, “You are the architect of a Viksit Bharat.”

The event was attended by Union Minister for Defence, Shri Raj Nath Singh, Director General of NCC, Lt. Gen. Gurbirpal Singh, Union Minister of State for Defence, Shri Ajay Bhatt, and other dignitaries from the defense forces.
