President Murmu Inaugurates International Women’s Conference in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: President of India, Droupadi Murmu, graced the inaugural session of the International Women’s Conference organized by the Art of Living in Bengaluru today. Addressing the gathering, she emphasized the remarkable rise of Nari Shakti and the contributions of women across various fields, including science, sports, politics, art, and culture.

Highlighting the achievements of Indian women, the President stated that their growing presence in leadership and innovation is a source of pride for the nation. She urged women to gather courage, dream big, and harness their full potential to break barriers and challenge stereotypes. “Every step a woman takes towards her goals is a step towards a developed India,” she remarked.

Speaking on the impact of technological advancements, President Murmu acknowledged that while they have improved the quality of life, there is a need to ensure that human values remain intact. She underscored the critical role of women in fostering compassion, unity, and well-being within families, communities, and even at the global level. “Women have a unique ability to lead through empathy and bring about meaningful change,” she said, expressing confidence that the conference would inspire principles to enhance peace and harmony in society.

President Murmu also lauded the Art of Living’s contributions to education, recognizing it as a powerful tool for human development. She stressed that investing in children’s education can shape them into active participants in the country’s progress. Additionally, she highlighted the urgency of addressing global challenges such as climate change and called upon the participants to engage in discussions on environmental conservation.
