President Murmu Inaugurates Amrit Udyan Winter Annuals Edition 2025; Opens to Public from February 2

New Delhi: President of India, Droupadi Murmu, today inaugurated the Amrit Udyan Winter Annuals Edition 2025, marking the beginning of the season’s opening. The prestigious Amrit Udyan will open its gates for public viewing from February 2 to March 30, 2025, offering a vibrant display of flowers, greenery, and themed gardens.

Timings and Special Days The Amrit Udyan will be accessible to the public six days a week, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Mondays reserved for maintenance. However, the garden will remain closed on select days: February 5 (due to Delhi Legislative Assembly elections), February 20-21 (Visitors’ Conference at Rashtrapati Bhavan), and March 14 (Holi). Additionally, there will be special access days for specific categories, including:

  • March 26: For divyangjan
  • March 27: For personnel of defense, paramilitary, and police forces
  • March 28: For women and tribal women’s SHGs
  • March 29: For senior citizens

Free Entry and Convenient Booking Entry to the garden is free of charge, and visitors can book their slots online through Rashtrapati Bhavan’s website. Walk-in visitors are also welcome. For the convenience of visitors, entry and exit will be from Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, near North Avenue. A shuttle bus service will operate every 30 minutes between 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35.

Visitor Amenities and Routes Visitors are allowed to carry mobile phones, electronic keys, handbags, water bottles, and milk bottles for infants. The garden provides drinking water, toilets, and first aid/medical facilities along the public route. The visitor route will take them through various gardens, including the Bal Vatika, Plumeria Theme Garden, Bonsai Garden, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden. Detailed information about displays can be accessed through QR codes placed throughout the Udyan.

This year’s edition will feature an impressive display of 140 types of roses, along with more than 80 other varieties of flowers, alongside the popular tulip display.

Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav In addition to the floral exhibits, Rashtrapati Bhavan will host the Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav from March 6-9, 2025. This cultural festival will showcase the rich traditions and heritage of Southern India, offering visitors a unique cultural experience.

Other Attractions Apart from Amrit Udyan, the public can also visit Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum from Tuesday to Sunday. Visitors can also attend the Change-of-Guard Ceremony every Saturday, excluding gazetted holidays. More details on these attractions and bookings are available on the official website.
