President Murmu Honors Tribal Achievements at Adi Gaurav Samman Samaroh in Rajasthan

Mangarh Dham: The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, attended the Adi Gaurav Samman Samaroh at Mangarh Dham in Banswara, Rajasthan, on October 4, 2024. The event celebrated the exceptional contributions of tribal communities, highlighting their achievements across various fields.

In her address, President Murmu congratulated the recipients of the prestigious ‘Adi Gaurav Samman,’ expressing particular delight at the higher representation of women among the awardees. She stated, “This is a matter of pride for the tribal society, the state of Rajasthan, and the entire country. The progress of women reflects the development of any society.” The award ceremony served as a testament to the multifaceted capabilities of the tribal people and their invaluable contributions.

The President commended the tribal youth of Rajasthan for their remarkable performances in sports, noting their role in bringing glory to their communities and the nation. She extended her appreciation to all sportspersons from Rajasthan for their dedication and accomplishments.

Highlighting the government’s initiatives, President Murmu spoke about the recently launched Dharti Aaba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, which aims to benefit over five crore people from the tribal community. She expressed confidence that this campaign would serve as a powerful medium to enhance the pride of the tribal society.

Furthermore, she acknowledged the positive impact of educational initiatives such as Eklavya Model Residential Schools, Adarsh Vidyalayas, hostels, and sports facilities for tribal students. President Murmu urged parents and community members to encourage their children to seize the educational opportunities available to them.
