
Raipur: President Droupadi Murmu graced the 2nd convocation of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur today, urging the graduating doctors to serve with compassion, especially toward the underprivileged. In her address, she praised AIIMS for its reputation of providing affordable, high-quality healthcare and lauded AIIMS Raipur for building a strong reputation within a few years.
The President acknowledged the trust people place in AIIMS institutions, which draw patients from all parts of the country. Noting the steps AIIMS Raipur has taken in public welfare, she expressed confidence in the institute’s continued growth and expanding contributions to healthcare in the region.
In a message directed at the new graduates, President Murmu highlighted the critical responsibility that medical professionals hold. “The hopes of the underprivileged rest on you,” she said, reminding them to prioritize service to the poor and marginalized. She emphasized the weight of medical decisions, which can often mean the difference between life and death, and advised the young doctors to remain composed and control their emotions amid challenging situations.
As the graduates transition from students to medical professionals, the President urged them to adopt a lifelong commitment to learning. “The spirit of always learning something new will be beneficial,” she said, underscoring that continuous growth in knowledge is essential for success in the medical field.
