President Murmu Attends Koti Deepotsavam-2024 in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, graced the Koti Deepotsavam-2024 at the NTR Stadium in Hyderabad today, marking a significant celebration of spiritual and cultural heritage in the region.

Addressing the gathering, President Murmu expressed her happiness in being part of the event, emphasizing that the Deepotsavam is being celebrated in the land rich with Telugu art, culture, and heritage. “Lighting the lamp gives a powerful message to move from darkness to light and from ignorance to knowledge,” she said, highlighting the symbolic importance of the occasion.

Urging the people to reflect on the deeper meaning of the festival, President Murmu called on everyone to light the “lamp of resolution.” She encouraged the nation to resolve to take India forward on the path of continuous development, commit to truth and dharma, and work towards the welfare of the underprivileged.

The President spoke about India’s ongoing journey towards holistic and inclusive development. She emphasized that the country’s progress requires collective effort and unity. “To achieve this goal, we must move ahead together, contributing to the creation of a developed India,” she stated.
