President Droupadi Murmu Honors Legacy of Former President Dr. Zakir Hussain on Birth Anniversary

New Delhi:  The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, paid heartfelt floral tributes to the late Dr. Zakir Hussain, former President of India, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The solemn ceremony marked the birth anniversary of the distinguished statesman and scholar.

Dr. Zakir Hussain, the third President of India, played a pivotal role in the nation’s growth and development. Born on February 8, 1897, he was not only a statesman but also an eminent educationist. His contributions to the field of education were particularly noteworthy, and he served as the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University.
