President Droupadi Murmu Extends Heartfelt Wishes on International Women’s Day

New Delhi:   On the eve of International Women’s Day, President Droupadi Murmu of India has conveyed her warmest congratulations and best wishes to all citizens, with a special emphasis on women, recognizing their achievements and contributions to society.

In her message, President Murmu highlighted the significance of International Women’s Day, dedicated to acknowledging women’s accomplishments and fostering awareness about gender equality and women’s rights. The President stressed the importance of providing equal opportunities for women and empowering them across all facets of life, addressing the ongoing challenges that women continue to face.

“Even today, women encounter various challenges that require our attention and concerted efforts. It is imperative that we work towards creating an environment that ensures equal opportunities for women in every aspect of life,” President Murmu stated.

The President lauded women for setting remarkable benchmarks in diverse fields, ranging from science and technology to medicine, space, armed forces, and sports. She pointed to the recent Republic Day Parade, where women showcased their strength and leadership, underscoring their integral role in shaping the nation’s progress.

“I wish for the success of Women’s Day celebrations and extend my best wishes for the bright future of all women. Let us collectively strive to build a society where women can thrive, lead, and contribute to the nation’s growth,” President Murmu concluded.

International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on March 8, serves as a global platform to recognize and appreciate the achievements of women while advocating for gender equality and women’s empowerment.
