
President Droupadi Murmu to Undertake Historic State Visit to Fiji, New Zealand, and Timor-Leste
New Delhi: On the eve of International Women’s Day, President Droupadi Murmu of India has conveyed her warmest congratulations and best wishes to all citizens, with a special emphasis on women, recognizing their achievements and contributions to society.
In her message, President Murmu highlighted the significance of International Women’s Day, dedicated to acknowledging women’s accomplishments and fostering awareness about gender equality and women’s rights. The President stressed the importance of providing equal opportunities for women and empowering them across all facets of life, addressing the ongoing challenges that women continue to face.
“Even today, women encounter various challenges that require our attention and concerted efforts. It is imperative that we work towards creating an environment that ensures equal opportunities for women in every aspect of life,” President Murmu stated.
