
New Delhi: Pralhad Joshi assumed office as the Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, in addition to his portfolio as Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution, at Atal Akshaya Urja Bhawan today. Alongside him, Shripad Yesso Naik also took charge as the Minister of State in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
The ministers were welcomed by Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, along with other senior officials.
Speaking to the media, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi emphasized the critical importance of the renewable energy sector in ensuring India’s energy security. He highlighted the vast potential for growth in this field and underscored the government’s commitment to advancing renewable energy initiatives. “Renewable energy is not only crucial for meeting our rising energy demands but also for achieving our environmental goals,” Joshi stated.
After the media address, the Union Minister was briefed by senior officials of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and conducted a meeting to discuss ongoing projects and future plans.
