Vientiane: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Lao PDR, during his visit to Vientiane. The meeting, held on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit and East Asia Summit, focused on strengthening the long-standing partnership between India and Laos.

PM Modi congratulated President Sisoulith for successfully hosting the high-level summits and reaffirmed India’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation. Both leaders highlighted the civilizational bonds that have historically united the two nations and expressed satisfaction with the growing partnership in areas such as development cooperation, heritage restoration, and cultural exchanges.
