PM Modi Launches Rs 10 Lakh Crore Worth Projects, Addresses Viksit Bharat Viksit Uttar Pradesh Program

Lucknow:  Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the Viksit Bharat Viksit Uttar Pradesh program in Lucknow today, marking a significant occasion as he launched 14,000 projects across Uttar Pradesh, collectively valued at over Rs 10 lakh crores. The momentous event took place during the fourth groundbreaking ceremony of the UP Global Investors Summit 2023.

During his address, the Prime Minister commended the state’s progress in the last seven years, emphasizing the transformation from a culture of bureaucratic hurdles to a welcoming “red carpet culture.” He highlighted the decrease in crime rates and the flourishing business environment, attributing it to the positive changes implemented by the double-engine government.

“In the last 7 years, an atmosphere of business, development, and trust has developed in Uttar Pradesh,” stated the Prime Minister. He praised the state’s achievements, including the significant increase in exports, advancements in electricity generation and transmission, and the establishment of a vast network of expressways and international airports.

Prime Minister Modi underlined the government’s commitment to both “Ease of Living” and “Ease of Doing Business” in Uttar Pradesh. He expressed determination to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every citizen, emphasizing the importance of social justice and the saturation of welfare programs.

The Prime Minister highlighted various schemes and initiatives, including the PM Awas Yojana, income tax reforms, and the PM SVANidhi scheme, which has benefited street vendors. He emphasized the government’s focus on empowering women through schemes like Lakhpati Didi and creating a conducive environment for small, micro, and cottage industries.

Acknowledging the potential of Uttar Pradesh to become India’s largest tourism hub, PM Modi discussed the initiatives to boost tourism, including the One District One Product scheme. He noted the improved connectivity, both locally and internationally, and the upcoming Kumbh Mela in 2025, which will create job opportunities in the tourism and hospitality sector.

The Prime Minister also addressed the government’s push for electric mobility and green energy, citing schemes like PM Suryaghar and incentives for electric vehicles. He encouraged investment in the sector, envisioning every household becoming a solar power generator.

In a significant announcement, Prime Minister Modi revealed the “Modi ki guarantee” vehicle, a metaphorical representation of the government’s commitment to reaching every village and city. He emphasized that the government will not rest until every beneficiary receives their due, be it pucca homes, electricity supply, gas connections, or tapped water.

Closing his address, Prime Minister Modi praised the recent decision to confer Bharat Ratna to Chaudhary Charan Singh, stating that it honors millions of farmers in the country. He reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting farmers and exploring new avenues in agriculture, emphasizing the importance of natural farming and millets.
