PM Modi Launches AMRUT Projects, Dedicates Houses, and Initiates PM-SVANIDHI in Maharashtra

Solapur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant milestone in urban development and housing initiatives by laying the foundation stone for 8 Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) projects worth approximately Rs. 2,000 crores in Solapur, Maharashtra today. In a dedicated ceremony, PM Modi also inaugurated over 90,000 houses completed under PMAY-Urban in Maharashtra, along with 15,000 houses of Raynagar Housing Society in Solapur.

As part of the program, the Prime Minister distributed the first and second installments to 10,000 beneficiaries of PM-SVANIDHI in Maharashtra. The event witnessed the dedication of these housing projects to the nation, benefiting handloom workers, vendors, power loom workers, rag pickers, bidi workers, drivers, and other sections of society.

PM Modi congratulated the people of Solapur and Maharashtra on the projects’ launch, attributing the success to the hard work of the state’s residents and the progressive state government’s efforts.

During his emotional address, PM Modi emphasized the fulfillment of the resolution taken for the thousands of poor in Solapur.

Highlighting the impact of the government’s clean intentions, policies favoring empowerment, and commitment to the nation, PM Modi assured that government schemes’ benefits are directly reaching the beneficiaries. He noted the elimination of 10 crore fake beneficiaries through the Jan Dhan-Aadhar-Mobile trinity.

PM Modi emphasized the government’s focus on dignity of labor, self-reliant workers, and welfare of the poor. He praised the citizens for dreaming big, assuring that their dreams are his resolution. The Prime Minister mentioned affordable urban houses and fair rent societies for migrant laborers, emphasizing efforts to provide residences near workplaces.

PM Modi highlighted the transformative impact of government schemes on poverty alleviation, mentioning the ‘Izzat Ghar’ and pucca houses provided to 25 crore people in the last 9 years. He emphasized the need to support those who have come out of poverty to prevent their regression into poverty.

Speaking about One Nation One Ration Card, PM Modi emphasized the importance of medical facilities and the Ayushman Card’s role in providing medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. He noted the government’s efforts in providing affordable medicines through Jan Aushadhi Kendra.

PM Modi assured economic security for the poor, mentioning life insurance schemes, bank assistance, and loan facilities under PM Svanidhi. He lauded the Jan Dhan Yojna’s role in connecting 50 crore poor with banking facilities.
