PM Modi Holds Telephone Conversation with President Zelenskyy on Strengthening India-Ukraine Partnership

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a telephone conversation today with the President of Ukraine,  Volodymyr Zelenskyy, discussing avenues to bolster the bilateral partnership between India and Ukraine across various domains.

During the conversation, the two leaders deliberated on strategies to enhance cooperation and collaboration between the two nations. They emphasized the importance of strengthening ties in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, technology, and culture.

Addressing the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s steadfast commitment to a people-centric approach, advocating for dialogue and diplomacy as the primary means of resolving conflicts. He stressed the significance of peaceful negotiations in achieving long-term stability and prosperity for all parties involved.

Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed India’s unwavering support for all efforts aimed at facilitating an early and peaceful resolution of the conflict. He underscored India’s readiness to contribute constructively to any initiatives aimed at promoting dialogue and reconciliation between Russia and Ukraine.

President Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude for India’s consistent humanitarian assistance extended to the people of Ukraine during these challenging times. He acknowledged India’s role as a reliable partner and appreciated its efforts to provide support and solidarity to the Ukrainian people.

Both leaders affirmed their commitment to maintaining regular communication and cooperation to address common challenges and explore opportunities for mutual growth and development.
