PM Modi Distributes Over 71,000 Appointment Letters in 14th Rozgar Mela

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation during the 14th Rozgar Mela, distributing more than 71,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth in various government departments and organizations. The event, conducted via videoconferencing, connected 45 locations nationwide, including Arunachal Pradesh, where 258 candidates received appointment letters at Itanagar’s ITBP NE Frontier Headquarters in Khating Hills.

The new recruits, selected from across the country, will join government ministries and departments such as the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, Assam Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force, Indian Postal Department, Indian Railways, and Sashastra Seema Bal.

Speaking to the gathering, PM Modi reflected on his recent return from Kuwait, where he engaged with Indian youth and professionals. “Today marks a new beginning for thousands of youths in the country. Your years of dreams have come true, and your hard work has paid off. This outgoing year of 2024 is bringing new happiness to you. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all of you and your families,” the Prime Minister said.

He emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to empowering youth through initiatives like the Rozgar Mela, which aims to create employment opportunities across diverse sectors.

Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, participated in the event at Itanagar, personally handing over appointment letters to 25 candidates. Of the 258 candidates who received letters in Arunachal Pradesh, 35 were women.

Rijiju expressed satisfaction at witnessing the youth stepping into government roles. He lauded the government’s focus on infrastructure development and job creation, urging the new recruits to leverage their roles for personal and professional growth.

The Minister also encouraged the youth to explore entrepreneurial ventures alongside government jobs. “The government is committed to supporting young entrepreneurs and helping them fulfill their dreams,” Rijiju remarked, underscoring efforts to build an inclusive ecosystem promoting both employment and innovation.

The Rozgar Mela initiative continues to play a crucial role in addressing unemployment and fostering self-reliance among India’s youth. By bridging the gap between job seekers and opportunities, the government aims to bolster the nation’s workforce and contribute to sustainable economic growth.

The newly appointed candidates now embark on a journey to serve the nation in various capacities, symbolizing a step forward in India’s commitment to youth empowerment and development.
