He assured the Prime Minister that over 4 lakh people have already been moved to safety, with thousands of shelters activated to accommodate those in vulnerable regions. The Chief Minister also briefed on the deployment of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) to assist with relief operations and ensure public safety.

Prime Minister Modi, after reviewing the preparations, expressed satisfaction with the state’s proactive measures and assured full support from the central government. He praised the swift and coordinated efforts to minimize potential damage and loss of life due to Cyclone Dana.

Earlier in the afternoon, the Prime Minister had another conversation with CM Majhi, highlighting the government’s continuous monitoring of the cyclone’s progression and response measures.

Additionally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke with Chief Minister Majhi, reaffirming the central government’s full assistance. He assured Odisha of any required resources or personnel to bolster its preparedness and post-cyclone recovery efforts.
